Celebrating 20 years as an Indie Artist

Hey Fam! I've been independent artist for twenty years (2006) and I'm celebrating by displaying my catalog of music released through the years. Before deciding to become an indie artist, I had a development deal with a major label in NYC (1998) management deal in NC (2002) and publishing deal in ATL (2004). Now, I have my own publishing co, releasing music whenever and however I choose. NO A.I. music baby!!! This is all songwriting, singing, arranging, audio engineering, production - studio, hard work, blood, sweat and tears. Oh, the stories I could share, from appearing on Law & Order, meeting some celebs, or dining at a celebrity attorney's estate in Atlanta with my brother Josh eating brown stew chicken and homemade key lime pie prepared by his sweet Jamaican chef. Fun times along with troubled times and bad contracts (the reason the lawyer was needed in the first place). I've been duped, scammed, disappointed and not to mention ridiculed by naysayers. Dear Preemie Mom!

This is the note I left behind in the book (inside the room I stayed in for months) at the Ronald McDonald House to encourage the next Mom on 4/22/17).

Hello & bless your heart if you're here. I know it's rough already but "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled" (John 14:1) Have Faith & Trust God!

My name is Ebony and I gave birth to my micro-preemie "DJ" on 12/15/16 after being transported to Vidant on 12/14/16. My water broke at home and DJ came at just 26 weeks gestation, weighing only 790 grams (1 lb 12 oz). It was a roller coaster ride of emotions and one difficult but miraculous journey. To God be the glory, we are finally going home after four months and one week. 

My advice to you -  PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or even think (Ephesians 3:20). So lean on Jesus and hang in there because joy does comes in the morning. You will make it! May God bless and keep your family in His awesome & divine care. Be strong, patient and kind to others as they are fighting some type of battle as well.
